Big Sioux River Below Watertown affecting Codington County. .For sites with a river forecast, the forecast includes precipitation through the next 24 hours. Any future precipitation could affect the forecasts. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Big Sioux River near Castlewood. * WHEN...Until late Monday evening. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Significant amounts of pasture and other agricultural lands will be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 10.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:45 PM CDT Friday was 10.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.9 feet tomorrow morning. Cumulus clouds are fluffy and textured with rounded tops, and
may have flat bottoms. The border of a cumulus cloud
is clearly defined, and can have the appearance of cotton or cauliflower.
Cumulus clouds form at low altitudes (rarely above 2 km) but can grow very tall,
becoming cumulus congestus and possibly the even taller cumulonimbus clouds.
When cumulus clouds become taller, they have a greater chance of producing precipitation.
