DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Temperatures up to 90. * WHERE...Catalina and Santa Barbara Islands, Los Angeles County Beaches, Malibu Coast, Santa Barbara County Southeastern Coast, Santa Barbara County Southwestern Coast, Ventura County Beaches, and Ventura County Inland Coast. * WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...There is a high risk for heat illness for sensitive populations including the very young, the very old, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors.
INSTRUCTION: Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
