DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values of 105 to 109 expected. For the Extreme Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 110 or greater possible. * WHERE...Dorchester, Inland Worcester, Somerset, and Wicomico Counties. * WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, from 10 AM this morning to 10 AM EDT Tuesday. For the Extreme Heat Watch, from Tuesday morning through Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
INSTRUCTION: Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
